What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis has been used as an aid to healing since the dawn
of mankind.
It is an entirely normal mental state, experienced by everyone every
day, usually when passing into, or awakening from sleep, or while
concentrating on a specific task to the exclusion of everything else
As a medium for therapy, hypnosis is unsurpassed because it
is entirely
non-addictive, immediately beneficial from the relaxation it provides
and because no drugs or invasive inducements are used
How does it
work?
A person under hypnosis is neither unconscious nor asleep,
they are in
a very relaxed state. Their thinking mind is quietened, and their
immediate anxieties are dispersed - yet their general awareness is
heightened and their capacity to communicate through speech is not
impaired
By using relaxation techniques to bypass the conscious mind
it is
possible to give positive suggestions that are acceptable to the
subconscious mind. These suggestions reinforce the conscious resolve to
overcome negative habits or reactions

At the initial consultation a treatment programme will be
discussed and
tailored to each clients individual needs. Different issues can be
resolved using different therapeutic processes – all of which
will be carefully explained. All treatment is completely non invasive
